Congrats on your promotion, Henedita!
Congratulations to Henedita who has been promoted to QC Manager! Henedita joined us in 2016 and has worked her way up from Production Operative to QC Manager, and we couldn’t be prouder of her success.
Henedita successfully secured the promotion from QA and Testing Coordinator to QC Manager, after implementing a new Quality Control (QC) Department to focus on the quality of our raw material and finished product. The newly implemented QC Department brought about new ways of monitoring and assessing the quality of our product, which was a huge success and brought evidential improvements to our product.
Following this, Henedita received a promotion to QC Manager to oversee the full process of the QC department. This is a huge success for Henedita, as she initially joined Prima working in our Production team as a Production Operative in 2016, achieving 4 promotions in the past 5 years.
Our Operations Director, Nima Beni, commented, “Henedita’s dedication, mentality, and care is evident every day. Her promotion is for sure deserved and I know that she has a great career at Prima and will achieve everything she wants to achieve and more.”
We asked Henedita a few questions about her journey from Production Operative to QC Manager…
What was your job title when you first joined Prima and what were your responsibilities?
I started as a Production Operative and my responsibilities were to pack, however, I have stayed in the packing position for less than a week.
Why were you interested in working for Prima?
I started to work for Prima after being a full-time mom at home for 3 years. As being out of work knocked my confidence in my skills I just wanted a start in the food industry and Prima was a local company.
What skills and knowledge have you gained since joining Prima?
Oh…where do I start, where do I finish?
Since joining Prima I have gained knowledge in all aspects of the QA Department, from the QA Technician role to QA Co-ordinator and Quality and Testing Co-ordinator. Working within the operations section in general with all the teams involved, I was able to gain knowledge with the support of the teams in all aspects of the company. Also the skills in the preparation and being part of a leading member of the customer and accreditation audits.
What job role were you promoted to and how did this opportunity come about?
I was currently promoted to the QC Manager role. Almost a year ago we have implemented a QC Department that was focusing on the quality of our raw material and finished product. We have implemented new systems of monitoring and assessing the quality of the product. As the department was a success and brought evidential improvements – we have big plans for new projects in the future and they will be managed by the QC department.
How has Prima invested and supported you in this role?
I must also acknowledge the internal mentoring and support from company directors. Nima – Operations Director was very involved with sharing his knowledge and experience with me when it came to implementing QC department. I know that if I need some guidance, support I could ask for the guidance from anyone within company including the Directors.
Name something that you’ve worked towards that you’re proud of
QC Department of course! We are proud of internal projects that led us in improving our monitoring of the quality of raw materials and finished product it led us to minimise and in some cases eliminate the customer complaints and assure the consistency of the quality of our products.
What’s your favourite thing about working for Prima?
Team work. The unity. People supporting each other. Of course as in every work place there are stressful situations, but it’s the unity when team comes together to deal with the situations that I like the most.
Advice for future Prima staff members?
Positivity and ‘’can do’’ attitude!!! For me positive attitude and atmosphere is so important. If you are passionate and have a positive attitude you can do more and working with the team can bring the best results. We spend half of our lives working, so we need to assure that we love what we do and that we are good at it 😊
