Apprentice to Credit Control Clerk
Abbie joined us in 2019 as a Credit Control Apprentice while completing a Level 2 Business Administration qualification. After successfully learning all the skills, knowledge and experience needed to progress in the company, Prima opened up a full-time role for Abbie as a Credit Control Clerk. She is now responsible for ensuring that incomings and outgoings are paid and on schedule.
At Prima, we’re proud to offer apprenticeships that are more about making an impact. Our Apprentices are given real responsibilities from the get-go, where they can learn industry valuable knowledge and experience that can be used in a way to support their professional development. Abbie commented, “Since starting my apprenticeship, my confidence and independence have improved loads. When I first started I relied on my colleague’s support but now I can run Credit Control independently.”
Abbie worked closely with her manager and was given 1-2-1 support with her responsibilities while being pushed to see her full potential and abilities. Abbie has brought so much value, positivity and dedication to her role, and we’re now super proud to call her a full-time member of staff. Our Finance Director, John Astbury, commented, “Abbie’s promotion is well deserved and a result of her constant hard work and dedication. She always puts Prima and her team first.
